Rait Discgolf Logo
Idea
The logo was envisioned for a local disc golf instructor based in Tartu, known for teaching the sport throughout Estonia. The aim was to encapsulate the essence of disc golf, a sport that combines leisure with activity, enjoyed amidst the beauty of nature. The instructor wanted a logo that was vivid and inviting to attract customers and to stand out as a symbol of the fun and vibrant nature of disc golf.
Process
In Adobe Illustrator, a platform known for its powerful design capabilities, we embarked on creating the logo. The process started with ideation around elements synonymous with disc golf – the basket, the disc, the trees, and the outdoor environment. We chose bright colours to give the logo a lively and engaging feel, ensuring it would catch the eye of potential students and enthusiasts.
We sketched and refined the silhouette of a disc golf basket and incorporated tree outlines to frame the sport in its typical outdoor setting. The bright orange backdrop suggests energy and excitement, while the white elements provide a crisp contrast that ensures the logo is easily recognisable. The final design successfully combines athleticism with the outdoor essence of disc golf in a visually striking manner that’s tailored to grab attention in Estonia’s growing disc golf community.
