Project Goal
The aim of the SourBitterSweet website was to create a warm, inviting digital space that celebrates family recipes and home cooking traditions. The platform needed to be simple to navigate, visually calming, and well structured for browsing and sharing content. As a recipe focused site, it also had to support blog content, multilingual visitors, and recipe printing.
We focused on delivering a clean and responsive WordPress site that reflects the personality of the brand, supports content sharing, and helps grow a community around food and tradition.
Our Approach
We designed and developed the SourBitterSweet website using WordPress with Divi Theme Builder, combining full visual flexibility with a clear and scalable structure. The site includes custom icons, soft colour palettes and easy to read layouts that guide users through the content smoothly.
To enhance functionality, we integrated the WP Recipe Maker plugin, allowing users to print recipes or share them via unique links. SEO best practices were followed from the start – including metadata setup, keyword optimisation and fast-loading pages – to ensure strong visibility in search results.
Each page was built with mobile-first responsiveness in mind, and thoughtful UX choices help users easily explore categories, blog posts, and featured recipes. The result is a welcoming, performance-optimised website that brings generations of cooking traditions into the digital world.
